When storage fills in Loftia, first check whether the limit is in your carried inventory or the chest. Demo guides describe automatically categorized chest storage and an Expanded Chest perk; they do not support assuming that every extra chest creates an independent new set of storage space.

Identify where the transfer stops

Open the relevant storage screen and note the item, its displayed amount and the exact message. If only one material refuses to move, compare that item’s limit before deciding the entire storage system is full. If the problem occurs while gathering, check carried inventory separately.

A useful report distinguishes “I cannot collect more” from “I can collect it but cannot put it away.” Those observations lead to different next checks. Take a screenshot of the affected panel rather than discarding materials simply to see whether the warning disappears.

Inspect the Expanded Chest perk

The demo beginner guide places Expanded Chest in the crafting section of Progression, reached through the menu. It describes raising chest capacity limits there. Read the current perk text, its prerequisites and cost before spending points; this page does not assume the demo values still apply to every item.

For the next gathering trip:

  1. Check how much of the target material is already stored.
  2. Inspect the relevant capacity indicator.
  3. Read any available storage perk in Progression.
  4. Decide what you actually need for the next recipe.
  5. Return with a specific target rather than another undirected haul.

A perk whose description concerns carried items may not answer a chest problem. Match the description to the screen that is blocking you.

Do not assume another chest means another inventory

A public October player discussion describes personal storage contents being available across chest access points, comparing the behavior to shared personal storage. That is a player report, not an official guarantee for every storage object in Early Access.

Before crafting several boxes to solve one limit, compare the contents and capacity shown at the access points you already have. If they display the same personal store, use the capacity system rather than planning a traditional room of separately sorted boxes. Automatic categories also mean you should first inspect the existing category view before looking for manual container labels.

Reserve quest and crafting materials deliberately

Read the active objective and upcoming recipe before selling or discarding an unfamiliar item. Keeping a small written reservation list is safer than assuming every duplicate is surplus. In particular, compare fish and gathered materials with any available research bundles.

Storage, shipping and visitor permissions answer different questions. A shipping objective is about delivery, while a chest transfer is about keeping items. If your concern is other players interacting with the island, use the guest permissions guide rather than inferring permissions from how personal storage appears to work.

Sources and version notes

The storage architecture and perk directions below are demo-era reports. No fixed stack cap or claim that selling is reversible is made. If the live interface differs, record its current limits and use those instead.
