If Hazel has given you seeds but you cannot find them, check the seed selection in your tool wheel. On keyboard, the public demo walkthrough uses holding R; follow your current key bindings if you have remapped controls.
Check the tool wheel before buying more seeds
An early gardening objective can look blocked when the seeds are already available through the tool selection interface. Stand at the garden bed, open the wheel, and look for the planting choice. This is a different problem from a shop not selling the seed you want.
The R shortcut comes from a demo-era walkthrough. Controller bindings and later updates can differ, so use the control prompts shown by your own game. If the shortcut does nothing, check settings rather than assuming the quest has failed. After choosing seeds, return to the garden bed and follow its planting prompt.
Finish the gardening steps in order
The opening progression introduces a bed, seeds, and a watering can. Placing a bed does not also craft a watering can, and selecting a crop does not water it. Read the objective after each step so you know whether the game currently wants you to plant, water, harvest, or ship something.
A useful short checklist is:
- Make sure you have placed the required garden bed.
- Choose the relevant seeds through the planting controls.
- Plant in the bed and use the watering can when prompted.
- Let the crop grow, then harvest it.
- Complete any shipping or NPC conversation attached to that objective.
If your crops are growing normally, you can work on nearby tasks while you wait. Do not restart the gardening chain just because the next objective has not completed before the harvest.
Separate crafting a bed from permission to place it
A later step in the launch walkthrough asks you to make and place another garden bed before returning to Hazel. A recipe unlock and a placement permit are different checks. If you can craft the item but cannot set it down, look at your current garden-bed limit with Amani.
Conversely, owning room for another bed does not put the materials or crafted item into your inventory. Check the Project Station and the recipe displayed in your current version. This guide does not give a fixed ingredient count because copying an older recipe would make a simple task harder if the live recipe has changed.
When the objective still will not advance
Read the quest text literally. Being asked to grow a crop, ship it, or speak to someone can lead to similar-looking screens but different completion triggers. Return to the requested NPC after placing a bed when that is the active step. For a shipping objective, harvesting alone is not the last action.
If the steps are complete and the task is still stuck, record the objective text and game version before reporting the issue. A screenshot of the active task is more useful than a description that only says the seeds disappeared. The official Discord is the developer's community route for current questions.
