Find Scrambled Coordinates by gathering resources around Loftia City during Ryder's introductory Adventure quest. They are chance-based drops, so walking to a particular map marker does not guarantee one will be waiting there.

Pick up Ryder's introduction first

Follow the opening story through the steps that introduce Cliff and Ryder. The launch walkthrough places Ryder at the Adventure Dock and describes an introductory task asking for three Scrambled Coordinates. Check that you have reached this task before treating an empty gathering trip as a broken drop system.

Use the active quest text as your reference for how many you need and who you should speak to next. This is especially important when following a guide made during the demo: character placement, objective wording, and progression can change between builds.

If the story has not reached Ryder yet, continue the relevant main objective. Trying to skip ahead by farming coordinates can make an ordinary progression gate look like bad luck.

Gather resources instead of hunting a fixed pickup

The useful action is harvesting or salvaging resource nodes. The launch walkthrough points readers toward the solar farm, scrap area, and construction area as practical places to gather. Treat these as a route through familiar gathering spots, not as three guaranteed coordinate spawn locations.

A simple approach is to move between gathering areas you already know, collect resources your tools can handle, and check the task counter as you go. If one node gives you nothing, that does not prove the area is wrong. Random drops mean two players can follow the same route and need different numbers of interactions.

Keep the resources you collect along the way. They can help with the crafting and refining tasks introduced around this part of the story, even when a particular interaction does not produce a coordinate.

What to do after you have enough

Once the task's counter is complete, follow its conversation or hand-in prompt before attempting the next Adventure. Collecting the coordinates and advancing the story are separate steps. Return to the indicated character or dock rather than continuing to gather indefinitely.

Older community walkthroughs differ in how they describe the hand-in character. We do not turn that disagreement into a firm claim that a particular named NPC is always the correct target. The current objective marker and the character's available quest dialogue are the best references inside your own game.

Why your route may look different from a video

Loftia's demo ran before Early Access. A video can show a lucky gathering result, a different patch, or a later point in the same quest. None of those establish a guaranteed drop chance for the exact node shown on screen.

The developer's first demo patch increased the chance of finding coordinates for this quest. That is useful historical context, but it is not a published percentage for the current build. This guide deliberately avoids promising a drop every fixed number of harvests or a guaranteed time to finish.

If you have the quest active and believe it is not progressing, save the quest wording and game version when asking for help. Describe what you gathered and whether the counter changed. That gives other players something concrete to compare.
