Talk to Amani about building permits when Loftia will not let you place another garden bed or energy station. Permits raise placement allowances; they do not craft the object or replace the materials needed to make it.
Identify the blocked object first
The launch walkthrough describes separate limits for garden beds, energy stations and other placeable objects. Start with the exact item you are trying to place, then inspect the corresponding permit. Buying an unrelated allowance is not a useful response to a garden-bed problem.
Write down the placement message before leaving your island. A limit message is different from a crafting recipe that lacks ingredients. If the object has not been crafted yet, solve that requirement separately. If it is already available to place, avoid spending more materials on a duplicate while you investigate the allowance.
Speak to Amani and inspect the permit
Amani introduces the permit system during early city progression. The launch walkthrough uses Dew to increase the garden-bed allowance; the demo beginner guide also identifies Amani as the permit vendor. Some options are initially locked, so seeing the menu does not mean every expansion is available immediately.
Use the live menu to check the relevant category, the new limit and its displayed cost. This guide does not give a fixed price ladder: an outdated cost table would be less useful than comparing the upgrade against your next objective.
Before spending, ask:
- Is this the category named by the placement problem?
- Does the new allowance cover the object I need next?
- Is the permit actually unlocked?
- Will I still have the materials and energy to make the object?
Finish the second garden-bed step
The opening First Sprout route involves both improving your garden-bed allowance and making another bed. Treat buying, crafting, placing and reporting back as separate actions. When the task has not advanced, read which action the active objective still requests.
For the growing sequence itself, use the seeds and planting guide. Keeping the guides separate helps with a common mix-up: seed selection belongs to the planting controls, while an additional bed is a placement and crafting question.
Decide what to expand next
An extra garden allowance is useful only when you intend to make use of it. The same reasoning applies to power: another permitted energy station does not increase the capacity of the battery you carry. If a single recipe exceeds your full charge, consult the battery upgrade guide.
A sensible spending plan starts with the next blocked quest or craft. Note what it needs, solve that bottleneck, and return to the task before buying several unrelated expansions. This is a budgeting suggestion, not a claim that there is one mandatory permit order for every player.
Sources and version notes
The permit purpose and early garden progression are documented in the launch-day walkthrough. The second reference describes the older demo; menu prices and later unlock conditions should be checked in Early Access. We have not independently reproduced every placement restriction.
