Recharge your Loftia battery at your home’s solar panel when crafting runs out of energy. If a recipe needs more energy than a fully charged battery can hold, you need a capacity upgrade; waiting for another refill will not solve that limit.
Recharge before troubleshooting a recipe
Interact with the solar panel outside your house and use its charging interface. Check the carried battery’s charge, then return to the station. Gathering another stack of ingredients cannot fix an empty energy supply.
Before starting a longer crafting session, compare the available charge with the next recipe. Make this check after refining as well: processing materials and making the final item can both use energy. Keep the final craft in view rather than assuming a full battery at the beginning guarantees enough energy at the end.
Prepare the first battery upgrade
The published November 4 battery guide lists Battery Lv.2 as the first upgrade, made at the Project Station from your existing battery, Scrap Wire and Mushroom Leather. It reports five charges for the starter battery and ten for the upgrade. Check the live recipe before committing materials, because Early Access recipes can change.
The reported material route uses the Solar Farm for wire and the Hills for Portobello Mushrooms, gathered with Pruners. Process mushrooms at the Refining Station for Mushroom Leather. The demo beginner guide also documents this wire-and-leather upgrade, but its processing times differ from the newer guide. For that reason, this page does not prescribe a timer or a fixed material shopping list.
A practical preparation order is:
- Open the upgrade recipe and note its current requirements.
- Check which tool and station you still need.
- Gather the missing raw materials.
- Refine only what the displayed recipe calls for.
- Recharge before making the battery upgrade.
Separate three different energy problems
| What you see | What to check next |
|---|---|
| Battery has room but little charge | Visit an energy station and refill it. |
| Full battery still falls short of the recipe | Compare maximum capacity with the recipe cost. |
| Upgrade recipe is unavailable | Check the recipe’s unlock and station requirements. |
A larger battery and another generator address different bottlenecks. Choose according to what actually prevents the next craft. If you are trying to add another energy station, see building permits before making equipment you cannot place.
Plan a useful trip home
Read the recipes for both the intermediate materials and the final item before leaving town. This gives you a concrete gathering list and reveals whether the limiting step is a missing tool, a locked recipe or insufficient charge. Do not spend the materials reserved for the upgrade on unrelated furniture first.
Later batteries depend on more progression than this opening upgrade. This guide deliberately stops at the first capacity problem instead of presenting an unverified route through every research reward. The research introduction explains how to approach those later unlocks.
