Complete the fishing introduction first
If you have just arrived in the district, continue the arrival conversations and meet Kassim. The fishing guide covers getting the Collector Rod and working through his catch objective. Returning to the quest giver is part of this progression, so owning the tool alone is not a reliable sign that research should already be open.
The November 3 walkthrough calls the next section Field Research. Once Kassim sends you to the stations, check your map for their markers. If a marker is missing, compare the current quest instruction with the last conversation you completed before assuming the station itself is broken.
Read a bundle before collecting at random
The official Early Access overview describes contributing local flora and fauna to research. The launch walkthrough explains that different stations offer different bundles. Start by opening one available bundle and reading the requested items and displayed reward.
A useful research note has four parts:

This is a planning method, not an assumed universal bundle list. Read the live interface for quantities and any donation confirmation before handing items over.
Separate unlocking a recipe from crafting it
A bundle reward can be a recipe rather than the finished tool or station. After completing a donation, inspect the reward and the relevant crafting panel. Then check materials, station requirements and energy independently.
For example, if an upgrade is still unavailable, identify exactly which screen is blocking you: the story objective, the donation bundle, the recipe unlock or the actual craft. These are different questions. Repeating an already-completed conversation will not tell you which material a visible recipe still lacks.
This page does not claim a complete Project Station Lv.2 recipe route. Some circulating tables are based on game-file records or old builds; the published walkthrough supports the introduction but not every current bundle reward. We have left those exhaustive tables out rather than presenting them as playtested instructions.
Combine research with normal gathering
Before selling an unfamiliar catch or processing a material you have been saving, compare it with your available research requests. Keep a short list for the next outing instead of trying to complete every station at once. If a needed material is inaccessible with your current equipment, choose another available objective while checking its tool requirement.
