Reach the Hanging Gardens by continuing Cliff’s story after crafting the Glider, then following the Airtram objective. The October demo stopped before this district; the Early Access launch walkthrough continues into it through A Call From the Gardens.
Finish the city prerequisites
Cliff’s route introduces Milo’s refining tasks and Ryder’s Adventure before the finished glider. Follow the active objective through the return conversations rather than only collecting materials for a recipe you have not learned yet.
When the Glider is ready, report back and follow Cliff’s next travel instruction. A crafted tool and a completed travel quest are separate checks. If an old video ends at the same point, first compare its build with the Early Access game you are playing.
Follow the arrival conversations
The launch-day district walkthrough takes the Airtram, introduces Herb at arrival and uses the lookout platform to explain the area. It then includes Arlo and another report to Cliff before meeting Kassim.
Use that order as a progression reference while reading the objective shown in your own game. NPC positions and dialogue markers can depend on quest state, so do not rely on one screenshot as proof that a character is permanently missing.

Start fishing and research with Kassim
Kassim’s introduction leads into crafting the Collector Rod and fishing. After that, research stations become the next progression system to inspect. Their collection requests connect gathering with new recipes.
For a concrete early upgrade, the Project Station Lv.2 route identifies the published first Central Lake bundle. Do not confuse unlocking the district with automatically learning every tool recipe it contains.
Gather for the task you are actually doing
The launch route documents Rattan from small palm-like trees around Bamboo Forest and Upper Village, and Jute from ropes or baskets in the gardens. Later tool work also requires ingredients from the original city, such as mushrooms for Mushroom Leather.
Inspect the recipe before making a long gathering trip. Having entered a new district does not make all old materials obsolete, and collecting a raw material does not replace a required refining step. Keep a short list tied to the next craft.
Choose the next independent goal
Research progression sends you toward Joanna, Hazel and Kun. The first-dog rescue and hammer upgrade are useful focused routes from this point. They answer different objectives, so choose the one your current task actually names.
