Get the Wrench during Keeping the Lights On in Gridfall: speak with Milo, then clear the trash piles named by the quest to recover his spare tool. The corroborated route gives you the Wrench itself; it is not a shopping list for crafting one.

Reach Milo at the correct story stage

Mita starts the Gridfall repair storyline after Everything Is Connected. If you are still in the Hanging Gardens, continue its travel and delivery objectives first. The Bounce Shoes guide explains the equipment step before that journey.

Use the quest name and current instruction to identify this visit. A character appearing in another district or earlier conversation does not prove that the repair-tool objective is active. Read the journal before spending time searching unrelated trash or station menus.

Clear the quest’s trash piles

The launch walkthrough and public quest record both direct you to trash near Milo for his spare Wrench. Published gathering guidance identifies the Hammer as the tool for clearing these piles. Work through the objects indicated by the active objective, then check your equipment and quest progress.

There is no corroborated need to buy a second Wrench or manufacture one at a station for this step. If the tool seems missing, first check whether you cleared the relevant quest pile rather than an unrelated salvage node. Record the district, objective text and what happened before reporting a possible progression problem; repeated random gathering is a poor substitute for identifying the active step.

Repair the lamp posts before preparing kits

The next recorded task is to repair three broken lamp posts and report back to Milo. The November launch route gives examples in Neon Alley, Patchwork Plaza and the Historical Quarter, but says the exact examples are not mandatory. Look for a broken object that matches your objective and use its current interaction prompt.

Check that progress advances after a repair before looking for another target. A decorative lamp or an already repaired object is not useful evidence of a missing tool. This guide does not assert a keybind or a shared-server respawn rule that the sources do not establish.

Keep the later repair gate separate

Quest stageWhat the records ask for
Recover the WrenchClear the indicated trash piles
Initial repairsRepair 3 lamp posts and report back
Prepare for machinesUpgrade Project Station to Lv.3 and craft 2 Repair Kits
Machine repairsRepair 2 broken Hydroponic Machines

The later machine objective introduces materials and station progression. If it is blocked, reread Milo’s new instruction instead of assuming the Wrench must be replaced. The Scrap Wire guide and battery guide can help plan a crafting trip, but the displayed upgrade recipe remains your shopping list.

After the lamp repairs, follow the active Milo objective into the Project Station Lv.3 upgrade. Prepare Electronic Scraps separately from the Metal Scraps used in Repair Kits.

Sources and version scope

The Wrench recovery and repair sequence agree between a launch walkthrough and a public quest record. They are source-based directions, not our own tested map coordinates or a promise about future patches.
