Start at the Solar Farm in Loftia City when you need Scrap Wire. Published launch and material guides describe loose wire around the area, with microwaves providing an additional salvage opportunity rather than a guaranteed wire drop every time.

Go to the Solar Farm, not a crafting recipe

The early launch walkthrough sends players to the Solar Farm for wire. The regional material guide places that area in the northwest part of Loftia City. Use the named area on your map rather than looking for an unlabeled pin in an old screenshot.

Wire is an early gathering material. If your current task says to collect it, look for accessible wire around the area before assuming you must first build another processing station. The nearby objects and loose materials make a combined gathering trip useful, but the required item name is still Scrap Wire rather than every piece of scrap you see.

Search loose materials before relying on salvage

The dedicated Solar Farm guide describes wire on surfaces and around the ground, and notes that broken microwaves may also yield it. Bring a Hammer if you intend to salvage, then inspect the result instead of assuming the same object always supplies every material you need.

A practical search loop is:

  1. Find the Solar Farm label on the city map.
  2. Search accessible surfaces, paths and spaces around structures.
  3. Collect the loose wire sources you can interact with.
  4. Salvage suitable microwaves with your Hammer while in the area.
  5. Check your actual wire total before deciding to repeat the route.

This is a route through a documented area, not a promise of fixed spawns or a guaranteed amount per lap. We have not measured current respawn times.

Reserve wire for your next upgrade

Scrap Wire is part of the first battery upgrade described by public progression guides. That makes it worth checking the upgrade recipe before spending your entire supply on other stations or decorations.

Write down the requirement displayed in your own recipe and keep that amount aside. If a craft still fails after gathering wire, inspect the other ingredient lines: the first battery upgrade also involves Mushroom Leather, so more wire does not solve a leather shortage.

Combine the trip with glass gathering

Microwaves are also documented sources of Glass Cullets. If you are preparing a glider or a power setup, inspect those recipes before leaving home so you can collect both resources during one visit.

Keep the totals separate. A successful glass pickup does not establish that you also received wire. Checking the gathered item names makes it easier to spot what your next gathering pass should prioritize.

If the area seems empty

Search the accessible area rather than waiting beside one object. Check your inventory and storage in case you already put the needed wire away. If an interaction is blocked, read the tool or capacity message before treating it as a spawn issue.

These are published gathering routes, not a complete map or a drop-rate calculation. Current interaction prompts take priority over older screenshots.
