Lignin is a refined material in Loftia. The public Early Access recipe records agree on five Bioluminescent Ivy for one Lignin at Refining Station Lv.2, using two energy charges per base craft.
Check the station before collecting another plant
Open the Refining Station and check its actual level. A first-tier station or a higher-level Project Station is not the same requirement. The Refining Station guide explains the material-processing workflow, while the research overview distinguishes learning an upgrade from applying it.
Older public station descriptions disagree about the exact bundle wording for the level-two refining upgrade. Consult the reward shown by your current research page and the station’s upgrade panel rather than assuming an old bundle label settles the issue. This article does not add a separate, unverified Lignin research objective.
Gather Bioluminescent Ivy with the right Pruners
Published material routes place the ivy in the Hanging Gardens’ Overgrowth and identify Pruners Lv.2 as the gathering requirement. Check the spot’s name and interaction prompt; if your tool is refused, review Pruners progression before treating the plant as depleted or broken.
Bioluminescent Ivy, ordinary Vines and Rattan are separate materials. A stockpile of either of the latter does not satisfy the Lignin recipe. Read the inventory name after gathering instead of identifying the ingredient only by the plant’s green appearance. The cited records do not justify a guaranteed harvest quantity or a server-wide respawn promise here.
Plan the base recipe quantities
| Desired Lignin | Bioluminescent Ivy | Base crafting energy |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 5 | 2 |
| 2 | 10 | 4 |
These totals multiply the published recipe and do not assume critical-craft bonuses. Collect any finished output before comparing your remaining materials with the next job. If you already own some Lignin, subtract that from the final requirement instead of automatically gathering the full raw-material total again.
Energy across two crafts is not necessarily a single capacity requirement. Recharge between jobs when needed, and distinguish a battery with little charge from one whose maximum capacity cannot cover the displayed action. The battery guide explains that difference.
Reserve Lignin for the item you are making
The item records list Battery Lv.3, Hammer Lv.3 and the Drip Irrigator as uses for Lignin. That does not mean all three recipes are unlocked as soon as this material becomes available. Open your intended final recipe and check its station, blueprint and other ingredients before processing more ivy.
For later Hammer crafting, Project Station Lv.3 is a separate progression step. A bag of Lignin cannot replace a missing station upgrade or tool blueprint. Likewise, this material is not required merely because you want to recharge your existing battery.
Some item records also list recycling routes. Inspect the Recycler preview before dismantling something useful; the ability to obtain an ingredient back does not make crafting and breaking new objects an efficient farming loop.
Sources and version scope
The current public records agree on the base recipe, station tier and listed uses. Several are extracted from game data and may share their underlying source, so agreement is not independent playtesting. No exact production timer, fixed sale strategy or guaranteed bonus is asserted.
